Biography
Mark Tolstov has spent close to twenty years around enterprise software in CEE: IBM, SAP, BMC Software, ServiceNow, Cloudera, Zscaler. A large part of that was working inside implementation projects on the methodology side: process design, governance and risk frameworks, internal audit, service management. He led the solution architecture for the first SAP-based fraud prevention project in the region.
At Scandit, he was part of a technology startup building AI-based computer vision, and worked on implementation projects across logistics and retail leaders.
In 2016 he founded Domopult, a unified property management platform, and ran it as tech-founder and CEO for seven years — from an idea to over 2 million monthly active users. He developed and shipped its first AI agent into production. He was accountable for decisions made on data he couldn’t always trust, the one who deprioritised observability in favour of shipping features more than once, and who found out what that costs.
Today he works on observability across CEE at Datadog, with enterprise data and ML platform teams hitting a version of the same problem, now with AI in the loop, where the cost of being wrong is unchanged but tracing it back is considerably harder.
