Andreea Mihailescu

I am a passionate ML and robotics engineer and a skilled software developer, focusing on solving intriguing problems with cutting-edge technology. With roughly 12 years of experience in the fields of ML/DL and AI and 8 years of experience in big data, I initiated and conducted various predictive analytics projects. I was a grant recipient within the Swiss Big Data Research Programme and a lecturer on machine learning and big data-related topics in two summer schools, at the University of Pannonia in Hungary and at the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy. I hold an innovation prize for unmanned marine surface vehicles and I am a scholarship recipient in Edge AI and AIoT from both Intel and Bertelsmann.

In 2022, I joined Johns Hopkins University as a research fellow in Bioinformatics and Computer Technologies for Virology and Immunological Engineering. Last but not least, I was the Tech Entrepreneurship Ambassador for Romania within the IEEE Entrepreneurship Initiative and, subsequently, a board member of the IEEE Entrepreneurship Initiative.
