Roll up your sleeves and get ready for the largest data festival! We’re stoked you’re considering joining the community and registering an event for #bdw15. We’re launching the 4th edition of the festival with a focus on bringing to life as many use cases as possible, connecting big data with real cases in Retail, Gaming, Advertising, Publishing and IoT. We would like to have both business views and technical views on problems solved, issues encountered – all topics have to be extremely practical.
After a very successful edition in 2014, when more than 30 cities worldwide bringing together 30,000+ big data practitioners to discuss the connected society and the Internet of Things, the next Big Data Week aims to bring together more than 40,000 participants across four continents.
The aim of the 4th Big Data Week is to inspire more individuals and SMEs to start a data project and tap into the immense growth potential of big data. So the next Big Data Week will pursue two categories:
The business part is aimed at business decision makers, consultants and analysts, and it’s meant to showcase real world success stories from five main industries: Retail, Gaming, Advertising, Publishing and IoT.
The technology part is for solution architects, engineers, data scientists and devops and will include best practices, how-tos, workshops and case studies from big data professionals that have hands-on experience in working with technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, visualization and integration software.
It’s simple, we’d like you to galvanise your local community and organise events that fit within the BDW15 areas of interest. We can help by providing media kits, branding materials, event guidance and sponsor templates if you need them – but it’s really down to you to create one, two or more kick-ass events for your local data community!
IMPORTANT: All submitted info is required to be in English, and the event has to have an English option for the agenda. BDW15 reserves the rights to restrict registrations if those are not in accordance with event main theme and requirements.
