Biography
Florian Thürk is a Senior Solutions Architect at Cloudera, where he partners with enterprise customers to design scalable big data platform integrations and architect end-to-end data use cases. With over a decade of experience navigating the complexities of big data, Florian’s career spans key leadership and technical roles, including his time as a Big Data Tech Lead and Data Scientist at Magenta Telekom. Florian has served as a board member of the Vienna Data Science Group (VDSG) for over three years. In this role, he organizes meetups, mentors emerging talent in data architecture and automation, and fosters collaboration among data enthusiasts. Before transitioning to the corporate tech sector, he earned his PhD at TU Wien, where his research focused on Electrical Impedance Tomography.
