Shifting from Business Intelligence to Decision Intelligence in the Agentic Era
For years, analytics at eMAG looked like most large organizations: a growing catalog of dashboards, a queue of report requests, and a team measured by output rather than impact. Dashboards answered what happened – but the decisions they were meant to support often happened elsewhere, late, or on gut.
This talk is a practitioner’s account of moving from Business Intelligence to Decision Intelligence across a retail group. Marius covers the three shifts that mattered: reorganizing the team around business verticals; redefining success as decision adoption and quality rather than dashboard count; and rebuilding the stack, so insight lands inside the decision, not next to it.
Expect specifics: what a “decision product” actually looks like, where the old operating model broke, how the team drew the line between enabling decisions and owning the numbers, and what he’d do differently. Aimed at data and analytics practitioners who own dashboards today and suspect that isn’t the job anymore.
