Biography
Catalin is a Senior Big Data Engineer with over 7 years of experience in data movement, transformation, and anonymization. He has expertise in ETL tools like Talend, DataStage, and ODI, as well as strong skills in SQL, NoSQL, Java, and in Big Data platforms like Cloudera. In his current role as an Apache NiFi administrator and developer, he designs and automates data flows, developing custom processors in Java using Google Tink Cryptographic Library and HashiCorp Vault for encryption and decryption. He enjoys learning new technologies and languages, being fluent in Italian and English, and improving his Spanish and Greek. Outside of work, he stays active with weightlifting, running, ping-pong, and amateur soccer.
